Schwem's Rubber Stamp & Trophy began in 1944 when Earl and Anna Schwem followed their dream of opening a family business in downtown Port Huron. Known affectionately as “The Candy Store” by locals, the shop became a staple of the community. Its doors often welcomed customers with the distinct scent of popcorn and freshly made rubber stamps.
Schwem’s has been passed through four generations in its 81 years in business. In 1975, Earl and Anna’s grandson, Mark Prochazka, and his wife, Rita, carried the business forward. This longevity solidified its reputation in engraving, trophies, and custom rubber stamps. Today, Schwem’s is proudly owned and operated by their daughter, Erica Corbat, and her husband, Russell. These two proudly continue the craftsmanship, service, and family pride that began more than eight decades ago.
Over the years, our craftsmanship has reached beyond Port Huron our custom pieces have appeared in major films and television shows, including The Blacklist, Bruce Springsteen, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, and Disney’s Daredevil.
From the popcorn memories of the 1940s to the personalized creations of today, Schwem’s remains a Port Huron tradition. A local establishment where quality and community meet.
